Located in scenic Northeastern NY, I live and work in the same district from which I graduated. I have 3 children (grades 9, 8, and 6) who also attend our school. I firmly believe in making science accessible to all and teaching our children to ask good questions and support their positions with evidence. I am also a proponent of sharing resources. Teaching isn't easy and as I enter the final third of my career, I am making it a priority to pay it forward to those starting out or those just looking to build their toolkit.

I have been in the classroom for just over 20 years and during that time I've taught Regents Earth Science, Living Environment, countless electives, and have coached Girls on the Run, youth soccer, youth basketball, varsity cheerleading, and varsity softball. In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I am a member of several district committees, the NYS Academy of Master Teachers, and am  Board Certified in AYA Science. In 2012 I was honored as the Outstanding Earth Science Teacher in NYS by the NAGT for my contributions to Earth Science Education.
